This is a gondola ride that last around 1 hr and to go along part of the grand canal and the small canals to see some of the areas where they made movies like 007 casino royale, 007 from Russia with love, 007 moonracker, Casanova, everyone says I love you, Indiana jones, Italian job, the league of the extraordinary gentlemen, the merchant of venice, the tourist. If the clients stay close by saint mark square or rialto bridge I can pick them up and along the way to the gondola I can show them few extra movie set. During the gondola tour ( 5 seats for clients 1 for the guide) we will do part of the grand Canal, and we will have the chance to see Santa Maria della salute church, the Guggenheim museum, the real venice, Mozart House, Marco Polo’s house the Rialto bridge. The tour will star and end at the same point.

Guests will be taken to San Francesco della Vigna Church, in the Arsenale Area, where they will have the chance to visit this beautiful and famous Monastery constructed by the renowed architect Palladio (XVI century). You will discover its hidden Vineyards, its Kitchen Gardens, its Cloisters and its recently restored Bibliotheque. From here we will then move to a very close Enoteca (Wine Bar) where an expert Sommelier will receive you and guide you through a brief, private and personalized tasting in the choice of the wine you would like to discover and drink. Once you have decided for the right product, we will start the tasting in the Enoteca, together with some appetizers, and then you will be taken on board a Gondola, which will already be prepared for the occasion (the Gondola tour lasts 30minutes).

A half day experience through which you will enter in a real venetian house, discovering its inhabitants and its great cuisine.

Our visit starts at Rialto Market, for a tour that will guide you with all your senses through the various stands of coloured vegetables, of picturesque fish, of fragrant breads,…
this is the heart of the city, still immersed in its tradition and culture.

We will then have a short walk to reach the house where you will be welcomed to enter in the kitchen and start working together with the Chef. While working together, he/she will tell you about Venetian Cuisine: local recipes, ingredients and methods.

HIDDEN VINEYARDS AND CELLARS OF VENICE LAGOON

Venice Car Service, in collaboration with its partners, proposes the TOUR OF THE HIDDEN VINEYARDS AND CELLARS OF VENICE LAGOON.

An extraordinary trip to the Venice Laguna to discover the vineyards that nowadays are still cultivated and treated with extreme care, and that give very particular wines of unique taste and inkling. An “out of the common routes” trip, for those who wish to discover “another Venice, its heart”.

A boat itinerary that winds between the various Venetian Islands in search of antique flavors and hidden producers that carry on one of the oldest trades in a place so unusual and magical.

We will start in S.Erasmo, which we will reach by water bus, the hidden and still unknown Island of the kitchen gardens, where local farmers still cultivate their land, a green heart in the centre of Venice Lagoon.

Here we will have the pleasure to meet a local farmer who will introduce us to his experienced wisdom by narrating about his life, his history, his job and about the precious and different growings he takes care of.

In particular, we will explore its production of wine, that this unique environment which is the Lagoon makes it more difficult than anywhere else, therefore very rare and precious.

We will then proceed by privat water taxi to Mazzorbo and Burano. Immersed in the tranquility of the Northern Lagoon, these Islands are filled with simple colored houses alternated with vegetable gardens and vines. Here there’s a beautiful, recently restored estate and a six-room hostel, where the Dorona, a local Venetian grape variety from the 15th century has been replanted. Besides the hostel, this estate also hosts a restaurant managed by a Michelin-star winning chef, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch and/or an interesting wine tasting. For those who wish, little promenade in Burano before returning to Venice by waterbus. Arrival back in Venice around 5pm.

ALTERNATIVE:

For a more exclusive tour, it is also possible to do it all by private water taxi, avoiding public means. This will allow us to add a 3^rd visit: we will start by visiting the Vineyards and the production  of S.Michele Island ( the famous cemetery near Murano), a unique discover, to then proceed with the above program. Return from Burano with water bus or water taxi.

Venice Car Service, in collaboration with its partners, proposes the A DAY WITH FISHERMEN IN THE ISLAND OF BURANO (VENICE).

From our meeting point we will take the public water bus or a privat water taxi to reach Burano Island. Our Tour will start here, where some fishermen of the local Fishermen’s Cooperative San Marco will be waiting to take us visiting the various Fish Cultures inside the Venetian Lagoon.
A 2 hours boat tour in which you will discover how beautiful the Lagoon is, with his patient fishermen, it’s hidden places, it’s colours.. we will also have a break in Torcello Island to visit the wonderful Church.
During Spring and Autumn, the period when the local Crabs moult, we will have the chance to see also the Art of breeding this incredible creatures and minutely selecting the wright ones who will become Moeche. Only few fishermen possess the knowledge to be Moecari (Moeche breeders), since it is a very difficult and hard job.

We will stop for lunch together with the fishermen and in the afternoon, before returning to Venice, you will have some time for a nice promenade in Burano.

Venice Car Service, in collaboration with its partners, proposes a BOAT TRIP TO S.ERASMO WITH WINE TASTING.

A Tour that will make you discover the hidden treasures of the Lagoon of Venice, between History,Tradition and Gastronomy. In the minor Islands of the Northern part of these Venetian environment, you will be shown the territories where Nature is still the lady of the house and where venetian farmers and artisans are still working the land… discovering Venice in its origins.

The Tour starts at 9.30am from Fondamenta Nuove vaporetto stop, where we will take the public waterbus (or the privat water taxi) to reach Sant’Erasmo Island: the Island of the kitchen gardens. Here we will have the pleasure to meet local farmers who will introduce us to their experienced wisdom by narrating about their life, their job and about the precious and different growings they takes care of.
The Island is famous for its vegetables, its wines and its honey, all special products thanks to the unique soil of the Lagoon: sand, salted water and sweet water.

Precious products that are now protected by Slow Food, like the Carciofo Violetto di Sant’Erasmo – a kind of local Artichoke that grows only in these territories and that is renowned to be of rare and very high quality; and the Miele di Barena – a honey made by spontaneous plants that exist only in the Lagoon.

In these farms we will admire the entire process, and we will be involved from the Land to the Table: coltivation, pick up, preparation and.. tasting

We will have lunch in the Island and we will return to Venice in the afternoon.
