TOUR OF THE CASTLES AND WINES IN TREVISO AND CONEGLIANO

I can organise a private car a minivan or a coach with professional driver from your hotel in Venice or Treviso, with this itinerary we will be visiting the battlefield of the great war, we are going to discover the castles and the incredible country side and of course we will be tasting some local wine and native products. First of all we will drive to the river Piave, were they fighted the first war world, and where from the distance we will see the memorial dedicated to the soldiers that died in Nervesa della Battaglia. We will be following the itinerary of the great war and we will stop to take picture at the San Salvatore Castle. Important archeological site dated back of the paleolitic time during the longobard time it was a small ,it seams that the first castle has been built it up in the 1110 a.c.. From the 1312 the collalto family tooked control over this lands. In 1461 the castle was a franciscan monastery. In 1915/1918 has beed heavily bombed and nearly destroided …. almost all the castle has been recontructed and it still lies in his strategic position. In this area we will taste the first local wine.
After the wine tasting we will proced to visit the city of Conegliano, superb medieval center, original frescos are still present in the houses, we will be stopping in the Conegliano castle dated back to the 10th century and bulted up by the Belluno Bishops. Our visit will end in a local winery to enjoy some prosecco, from here we will go back to the hotel.
