Your day begins with a scenic drive north along the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea toward Mount Vesuvius. The first stop is Pompeii where for two hours you will be free to explore life in Italy as it was at the height of the Roman Empire. Destroyed when Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D., Pompeii lay buried under meters of volcanic ash for well over 1,500 years. Want to make the most of this visit? After Pompeii we head south along the famous Amalfi Coast. Here you will relax in safety and comfort as our driver escorts you along the narrow highway that links the fabled towns and villages of Sorrento, Positano and Ravello. The magnificent views of sea and shore – with the Isle of Capri sparkling like a jewel in the distance – are matched only by the shopping and dining in Italy’s most glamorous setting.
